Navy Sailors Stand Firmly Looking Up. When The Fifth Member Joins In, It All Makes Sense 8k

If you didn’t know, The United States Navy Band Sea Chanters are a music band, part of the U.S Navy and very, very good.

At the U.S Navy Memorial three years ago in 2014, they stepped on stage, with their backs towards the audience, waiting patiently to surprise the crowd. They started off singing “Sherry”, before continuing the medley onto other songs: “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Rag Doll,” “Let’s Hang On,” and “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night).”

Formed over six decades ago, the Sea Chanters are the ‘official chorus’ for the U.S Navy. Their aim is to project a positive image of the Navy and it’s counterparts to those at home and abroad.
