88-year-old Gloria Porter had her stay at the hospital turn from miserable to great after an interaction she had with some construction workers she could see from her hospital room window.

Spending a week in hospital, she always looked over ash the construction going on and worried for the workers when the weather conditions weren’t in their favor. The workers waved at her, and also wrote a “get well” message on one of the steel beams. Touched by their message, she grabbed a sheet of paper and stuck up a sign on her window, responding with “stay safe”. The workers felt “crushed” when they saw her message and her care for them, and it led to a chain of good events!
