It’s a scary moment going on stage infant of hundreds of people who will all be judging you. 13-year-old Evie Clair from Florence, Arizona, had always wanted to be a singer from a young age and thought that she would follow her dreams.

Talking about her hometown, she mentions that her dad works in a nearby prison, despite having been diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. He constantly fights it to be able to work and continue supporting his family. She says he’s the reason she wants to sing, with her song choice, “Arms” by Christina Perri, the song that she sings to her dad whenever he feels lost and defeated.
